How much does interior painting cost?

The average cost to paint a room is between $2.00-$6.00/sq. ft. The least expensive being walls only, and increasing in cost as trim, baseboards and ceilings are added. The national average cost is $3.50/sq. ft. Considering a total painting project, one can expect to spend between $960-$2700. For example, a 2,300 square foot home could cost between $4,000-$11,000.   

Our painting projects always include proper prep. If a surface needs sanding and priming (wooden trim or baseboards for example), this is factored into the final price. Our estimate will include patching nail holes. We can include small drywall repair if discussed prior to job start. In this case, we either need to see it, or view a photo shared by the customer of the damaged area.
