Interior Painting Preparation Checklist
The following checklist will assist us in being able to complete our work quickly and cause less disruption to your routine.
To be completed by you before your painters arrive:
In the areas to be painted: disconnect wiring from computers, video, TV and stereos. Identify your wires so you can reconnect them correctly.
Remove and store any items on the walls in the areas we are painting.
Clear off all counters, tables, dressers and shelves of all items, hutches, etc.
Rooms should be clear of all clothing, towels, throw rugs, paper, etc.
If closets are being painted, please have them emptied prior to our arrival.
If any pictures, hanging items etc., are staying in their current location, please leave their hardware in place. If they are being moved, please pull the hardware and we will patch holes.
Grandfather clocks should be removed from area
Please remove blinds to place in basement. If you need help we can add labor to accommodate this. Project Paint is not responsible for any damaged window blind/treatment due to improper installs, age, deterioration, etc.
Alarm system should be disabled
Make any necessary arrangements for pets
Please move emptied furniture that can be easily moved away from walls. (We typically don’t move large entertainment centers, tv’s, bookshelves, storage chests, broken furniture, china, delicate items, antiques, etc.)
Project Paint will perform the following:
All furniture will be covered with plastic sheeting or drop cloths when ceiling painting. This
may create a light dust throughout the home which is normal and not the responsibility of Project Paint.
Floors and carpeting will be protected where necessary with drop cloths, unless they are
Touch-up paints will be marked and left for you.
