How Do I Wash My Newly Painted Cabinets?

Now that you have newly painted cabinets, we recommend you take great care to keep your cabinets looking beautiful. These coatings are the latest technology and we have chosen them due to the extreme durability they offer as well as the environmental benefit. They meet or exceed the standards set forth by the National Kitchen Cabinet Association.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAINTED CABINETS
The following are ideal cleaning procedures:

  1. General cleaning should be performed with a warm damp cloth of water and a mild dish detergent when cooking, or shortly after. Letting food harden on the finish will be more difficult to maintain.
  2. Caution: do not use any type of abrasive scrubby pad, cleaning agents, solvents, etc., they may minimally contain abrasives or ammonia, they may damage/discolor finish.
  3. Avoid scrubbing with too much pressure when washing as this may change the satin sheen.
  4. Keep cabinets as dry as possible, especially around sink area.
  5. Cabinet coatings wear longer without impact from fingernails, silverware, or water running down in sink area.

Please note, Anyone that works or installs around the new cabinet finishes, must isolate and protect them. Ideally, if tape is used, it should be surface-sensitive masking tape (3M Blue Painter Tape).
